You have just read a prayer to repent of your sins and receive Jesus Christ as saviour into your life. There is more than one prayer, but all will say similar things. If you have given yourself to Christ, you too would have said something along those lines.
However, when you said “it”;
- Did you really give yourself to Christ?
- Did you really mean it?
- At the very moment you gave yourself to Christ was it real to you?
- Did it matter more than anything else in your life or was it just words?
The answer to that and all the other questions is between you and Jesus, and you can’t kid Jesus! So don’t pretend you have if you haven’t. Don’t kid yourself, this really does matter to your journey in faith. You need to get this right, and we all need to understand how life changing this is, for us all.
So, if you’re not sure you have given yourself to Christ, or infact you ever did, do you;
- Admit you’re a sinner?
- Be willing to turn from your sins and repent?
- Believe that Jesus Christ was crucified, died and rose again for the forgiveness of your sins?
If your answer is yes then with prayer, invite Jesus to come into your life, as your Lord and saviour and start to live the life Jesus wants you to live…eternal life right now!
Go on, just do it, and start to move forward with your life, in the knowledge that you will never be alone again, “The Big Boss” (Jesus), is always with you. Hallelujah!
